About: Iguana ... |
The best way to describe an Iguana is "little dragon". Fortunately they are very friendly. It seems that the larger the iguana, the easier it is to approach them.
A lot of them can be encountered on the Galapagos islands and in Costa Rica. Don’t be surprised when an iguana approaches you. Shadows are rare on some of the islands and Iguanas will stop in your shadows and then fall asleep. Obviously, because the environment is protected here, you are not allowed to move anymore :-) More info on this external link |
About: Marine Iguana ... |
Again one of the wonders of the Galapagos islands. After sunbathing for a few hours, lying flat on the ground, they have enough energy to jump in the sea and have diner. Marine Iguanas are the only Iguana species that like to swim and the only Iguana to eat from the sea. The marine iguana is very social. They live in large groups and tend to sleep best if covered by at least a few of his friends.
The male iguana can get quite colorful when it’s mating season, as shown on one of my pictures. More info on this external link |
